Kinking in Semiconductor Nanowires: A Review

چکیده
The growth direction of nanowires (NWs) can change during synthesis as a result stochastic processes or modulation certain conditions. This phenomenon is known kinking. Although deviations from uniform vertical are typically considered to be undesirable, kinking opens route for additional tweaking the characteristics and functionalities NWs in controllable manner, thus extending range potential applications. In present Review, we give an insight into mechanisms summarize most crucial factors that lead synthesis. Additionally, properties applications kinked discussed.
